The keys used by JSS are unique to the JSS KMA. It is not possible for the StepNexus KMA or JSS KMA to generate data for cards containing the other KMA keys.

Key Formats & Lengths

Key formats used by JSS conform to the MULTOS File Interface Format (FIF) v6.0 document, downloadable from the MULTOS Technical Library.
All Key lengths used by JSS and StepNexus KMA are currently the same. For further information please refer to the MULTOS Technical Library.

Set up Personalisation Equipment for JSS Keys

The MULTOS scheme has always supported multiple ALCs, ADCs and Hash Modulii. MULTOS personalisation equipment supports this key data from multiple KMAs with little or no modification to the equipment or software required. Under the original MULTOS scheme, with only one KMA, one tkck_pk key; a key used when generating confidential Application Load Units (ALUs) needed to be loaded into the MULTOS personalisation equipment database. Now, with multiple KMAs, multiple tkck_pk keys, one for each KMA, are required to be loaded into the database. However, most of the major personalisation equipment providers provide full automatic changeover for multiple tkck_pk keys in their most recent software versions, thus making a manual switchover unnecessary.
